So what insights did we take from last semester?

After the first semester, we realized that the story of our product was still not precise enough and that we needed more validation - both technological and user validation. During the semester break, we focused on refining the problem and the value of the product, building an MVP of the application, and running user validation iterations with both students and teachers. In our first iteration with students, we discovered that the activity must have a clear purpose for group formation, so this time we focused on testing the task itself and how it creates interaction between people. At the same time, we created a clearer user story and reduced the system’s activity modes to two instead of three - both to align with technological feasibility and based on feedback we received from teachers.

and of curse we updated the blog!

Ripple is designed to help teachers create meaningful social interactions between students in the classroom. The system combines a teacher-facing application with wearable wristbands for students, enabling the creation of bonding activities based on shared interests and common ground in real time. Through the system, teachers can quickly create activities, divide students into groups in an interactive way, and gain insights into the social dynamics of the classroom.

Although the war surprised us and disrupted part of the process, we did the best we could under the circumstances. We feel we made significant progress and believe that in the coming semester we will be able to move our product one step closer to becoming a real classroom tool.
